Om half vijf zijn ze er.Gelukkig zijn er nog meer kinderen die het moeten leren. Nu vindt Anoek het niet meer zo erg. Ze gaat naar een kleedhokje en trekt haar badpakje aan. Haar haren worden opgestoken, zodat ze onder de badmuts komen , die dezelfde kleur heeft als het badpakje. Daantje dartelt mijn zijn spillebenen in zijn blauwe zwembroekje. Er komt een meneer aan, die ook een zwembroek aan heeft en een fluitje om zijn nek. Hij zegt:"Ik ben Eric."Eerst moeten de kinderen zich voorstellen, zodat ze allemaal weten wie ze zijn. Er zijn zeven kinderen, 3 jongens en 4 meisjes. Sandra, Anoek, Linda, Gwen, Thom, Daan en Wout. Eric zegt:"We gaan nu netjes op een rij achter elkaar staan. Steeds als ik fluit gaan jullie onder de douche. Dat lijkt misschien vreselijk koud, maar des te warmere voelt het water aan in het zwembad. Je krijgt straks allemaal kurkjes om je lijf en zwemblaasjes rond je armen. " Nu wordt het serieus. De kinderen moeten op de rand van het zwembad gaan zitten en met hun voeten in het water schoppen. Nu moeten ze zich heel voorzichtig laten zakken. Eerst op de eerste tree van het trapje. Op de tweede tree komt het water al tot je bips. Het derde treetje komt tot bij je maag en het vierde treetje is de bodum. Gelukkig maar dat er aan de rand van het zwembad een grote stang zit waaraan je je vast kunt houden.Je voelt zo raar aan in het water... Eerst doet Eric het voor. Anoek durft nog niet zo goed. Ze kijkt eerst maar eens hoe het afloopt met Linda en Gwen. Ze gaan niet onder, dus zal zij het ook maar eens proberen. Het is toch nog koud, en wat is het eigenlijk diep. Het komt Anoek tot haar borst. Maar goed dat ze kurkjes heeft. Nu iedereen in het water is maakt Eric een kring en gaan ze de zevensprong doen. Bij zeven zitten ze op hun hurken op de bodum...Brr, nu komt het water zowat in je oren, maar, het is toch wel leuk. Eigenlijk jammer dat het vijf uur is. Was het maar vast volgende week... Dan gaan ze leren drijven...
