All along the watchtower

Princes kept the view

Outside in the cold distance

A wildcat did growl

Two riders were approaching

De KLEINE TRAP is vrij zeldzaam in Nederland. Op 15 januari 2012 werd een prachtexemplaar gespot in het Verdronken land van Saeftinghe, een mooie opsteker voor de Stichting Het Zeeuwse Landschap die het natuurgebied beheert. Een dertigtal in der haast bijgeroepen enthousiaste vogelliefhebbers hebben de waarneming bevestigd. Tadorna was erbij en Peter Meininger maakte een foto. Het was Zondag met een hoofdletter, en de eerste echt heldere dag van het nieuwe jaar.

Het VERDRONKEN LAND van SAEFTINGHE is een uitgestrekt schorgebied in de Westerschelde. Het ligt hemelsbreed zo'n 50 kilometer van de monding. De Westerschelde is een menggebied van zeewater en rivierwater. Het water dat met vloed de schorgeulen binnenstroomt is dus brak. Met zijn 3200 hectare is Het Verdronken Land van Saeftinghe één van de belangrijkste en grootste schorgebieden van Nederland.

Wind

	THREE KINGS

	Dit gaat over de drie windmolens rechts op de foto. Tussen deze drie turbines en de twee turbines links, loopt een zesvaks autosnelweg.

Poëzie

Langs de dijk fietsend bij valavond een zinkende zon tegemoet schitterend op het water.
	Langs de dijk stappend een schip glijdt voorbij de golfslag bereikt murmelend de oever.
Langs de dijk zittend op een bankje sprakeloos wanneer een reiger geluidloos neerstrijkt aan de beekrand.
	Langs de dijk mijmerend bij het Kijkverdriet het wiegt en wacht het zwijgt en troost het is er altijd. Iris van de Meirssche
